      Happy Monday,

      Violence For Violence Sake

A year ago today, Hamas chose to go in to Israeli territory to kill and kidnap innocent Israeli young people.  This time last year we expected the world to come out screaming for justice for the Jewish people.

Instead, on College compasses in America and in protests around the world young people protested in favor of the terrorist.  Two American babies were kidnapped that day.  No one protested for them to be set free.  By now we can assume the babies were killed.

Just as the Bible predicted of the last days, what is evil is considered good.  Many of the protesters were young women.  Young women who are clueless about what would happen to them if they were under the thumb of Hamas.

We are indeed living in the last days and evil is growing by leaps and bounds.  The only thing we can do is stay close to our Savior, Jesus.  Make sure we are ready when the trumpet sounds.

      Revelation 22:20

      I Am Coming Quickly

He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!

      Happy Saturday,

Two Steps, Forward, And Two Steps Back

Do you ever feel that in your spiritual walk with God that you take two steps forward and fall back two steps?  If you do, you are not alone.  It often seems we cannot get ahead.

Yet even in the falling back, we are learning something.  The most important step we make is getting up and continuing our walk with God.  Giving up is not an option if we want to walk with God.

We may have to dust off our clothes and doctor a few cuts and bruises, but we must continue to walk forward with our Lord and Savior.  One day we will walk right into Heaven, to our Heavenly reward.  We cannot even imagine the joy that will fill our hearts and souls.

      Maranatha,

      Betty

      Happy Thursday,

      Promise #276:

I am your Father, and I love you even as I love My Son, Jesus.

      John 17:23 (WEB)

      I in them, and you in me, that they may be perfected into one;

that the world may know that you sent me,

and loved them, even as you loved me.

What a mighty blessing it is to know how much God loves us!  Not only did He send His Son to die for our sins, but He loves and cares about us today.  He cares about our needs.  He hurts when we hurt.  We are special to Him.  We are indeed a blessed people to be able to call God our Heavenly Father!

      Maranatha,

      Happy Tuesday,

      Earning Our Way to Heaven

I heard a celebrity say recently that he hoped he and his wife had done enough to earn their way into Heaven.  We cannot earn our way into Heaven.  Even if we were like the legend of the cat and lived nine lives and died for Christ, nine times we still could not earn our salvation.  Why?

      Being Born In Sin

      Psalm 51:5 ESV

Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.

      Psalm 58:3 ESV

The wicked are estranged from the womb; they go astray from birth, speaking lies.

      Romans 3:23 ESV

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

      Romans 5:12 ESV

Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned—

      Ecclesiastes 7:20 ESV

Surely there is not a righteous man on earth who does good and never sins.

We needed the pure blood of a person who had never sinned to save us.

      1 Peter 2:22

      who committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in His mouth;

      2 Corinthians 5:2

He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

      Hebrews 4:15

For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.

      Luke 1:35

The angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy Child shall be called the Son of God.

      1 John 3:5

You know that He appeared in order to take away sins; and in Him there is no sin.

Matthew 27:24When Pilate saw that he was accomplishing nothing, but rather that a riot was starting, he took water and washed his hands in front of the crowd, saying, “I am innocent of this Man’s blood; see to that yourselves.”

      John 19:4

Pilate came out again and *said to them, “Behold, I am bringing Him out to you so that you may know that I find no guilt in Him.”

      John 8:29

And He who sent Me is with Me; He has not left Me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to Him.”

      Isaiah 53:9

His grave was assigned with wicked men,

Yet He was with a rich man in His death,

Because He had done no violence,

Nor was there any deceit in His mouth.

      1 Peter 1:18-19

knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.

Salvation is more than being sorry for our sins.   We must turn away from our sins.  We are not saved if we live a sinful lifestyle.  We are not perfect and we do sin sometimes, but if we live in sin we are not saved.

      Maranatha,

      Betty

      2 Corinthians 6:17

      New King James

      17 Therefore

      “Come out from among them
And be separate, says the Lord.
Do not touch what is unclean,
      And I will receive you.”

      Blessed Sunday,

      The Right Thing

No one ever said that doing the right thing would always be easy.  Sometimes it is hard, exhausting, and even unappreciated.  Yet there is something to be said for doing the right thing.

There is a clear conscious when you do the right thing,  you know you did your best and have to apologize to no one.  There are times when God calls on us do to something that is hard and exhausting.

Yet, even through the toughest road, God will give us peace of mind.  When we feel that we cannot go on, God revives us with that extra boost to keep us going.  Obeying God is always the best way.  If we reject God’s will not only will things go wrong, but we will have to redo the test again.  So much better to obey God the first time.

      Maranatha,

      Betty

      Happy Friday,

      Struggling Through

We often find ourselves on a path that is hard.  We did not choose this path.  God chose it for us.  We have the choice of our reactions to our circumstances.   We can fuss and be irritable to anyone who comes close to us.  Or we can choose to accept God’s will and ask Him to guide and help us walk His way with grace and patience.

Talk to Jesus throughout your day.  Tell Him of your struggles.  ask him to strengthen you.  This will pass.  There will be new paths.  Paths of joy and peace.  Trust God today and look forward to the future.

      Happy Tuesday,

      Hope

Today was much better than the last three days and I praise God for that.  When we are going through hard times, even a better day is refreshing.  It’s almost like we can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Truth is tomorrow might be not so good, but I have hope again.  Hope keeps us going through troubled times.  Our Heavenly Father gives us hope.  He loves us and wants us to trust Him in spite of our circumstances.

May God bless you and your family.

      Maranatha,

      Betty
